home again...
after 11 nights of being away from home, we're finally back!
there's a LOT of things to catch up on and in spite of the fact that the house was spotless when we left, it has officially exploded with new mail, newspapers, suitcases, toys that were oh-so-missed that they're scattered everywhere.I tried to post this last night---but it wouldn't work. Matt turned 30 yesterday, so happy birthday to him! Here's the Birthday Boy and the Dead Deer. Say hello to my new wall decor. He was pretty quiet the whole way home. Always content. (for the record I'm a redneck by marriage. It's not in my blood. Just so you know. At least those van seats are leather and not velour)
catch you later!
Oh! And it's July 1st! That means at some point today or tomorrow new pictures will be up. Then you can see the cuter vacation pictures. :)

i have no words.... none. i just... wow.
welcome home! good luck settling back in!
That picture looks remarkably like our last moving day. No way in hades Travis was going to let his prized Big One suffer the indignity of a moving van. We really, really, really need to live on the same block. Imagine the fun we'd have while our husbands sit, admire, and blather about their respective Dead Deer.
That's a hilarious picture! Where are you going to put it?
Oh my goodness that picture is hilarious!!!! Were your kids behind the deer? I really got a good laugh out of your "redneck by marriage" comment. I feel like sometimes too
Happy belated Birthday Matt!!!
You are such a good wife. If my husband had time in the world, he'd probably be more of a "red neck," but this ministry and pursuing his next degree have left too little time for him to do much more than to shoot the occasional squirrel.
I'm starting to envision some new peel and stick inspirational words for around Mr. Deer. Ya know, as a surprise for Matt.
Glad you're back!
My husband has already started looking at arrows, etc. for this upcoming deer season. *shakes head* Men are so funny! I love that picture - your Matt looks so happy, just chilling in the van with the deer head...haha...
OH MY!!
I thought you said he'd be riding shotgun. Did Mr. Deer give up his seat for the Lady of the House? So sweet.
You must really love Matt!
tell E I got her thank you card today in the mail and love it! It's hanging on the fridge.
See you guys tonight
Wow. Seriously. I'm so impressed that you allowed that in your van. I think I would have wanted it straped to the roof. or drug along behind
Happy Birthday Matt!
Will it seriously go on your wall????
Hello Ms. Jessica,
You made your site simple yet elegant.
I like to write articles about Jehovah God on my site to help people to really get to know Him and His plans for us, especially in these troubled times. "But you who abandon me, your God, who forget the holy mountains, Who hold dinners for Lady Luck and throw cocktail parties for Sir Fate, Well, you asked for it. Fate it will be: your destiny, Death. For when I invited you, you ignored me; when I spoke to you, you brushed me off. You did the very things I exposed as evil; you chose what I hate." (Isaiah 65:11-12) (Message Bible)
That is so funny! Wow! I am kind of glad my hubby doesn't like to hunt. :)
I'm a redneck by marriage too. I haven't had the chance yet but plan to show Mike this picture. He is gonna love it!!
I love my t-shirt!!!
