piggies
It's monday morning. and we woke up late. and E1 is up while the little two still snooze. and i have to shower. before everyone wakes up and everyone needs breakfast and...you know...
First things, first! Baby Hugger shirts, featured on another blog! Go here to ENTER TO WIN!!

Okay, so. This is funny. Well, during the moment I tried my hardest to maintain composure and not crack a smile, but oh, as soon as the moment was over, I ran to Matt & told him all about it and we cracked up (cracked up laughter. not cracked up looney.) together. Here's what happened:
I was cleaning the bathroom at about 11 last night. (i know. but, it was gross. and the day of rest was almost over. and i never find/make time during the day to do it. so...) I heard the bambina crying. So, I went in. Here's how the conversation went.
Me: Sweetie, what's wrong?
Her: Mooooom. I'm having bad dreams! (through sobs)
Me: What about? Tell me about your dream.
Her: Well the ...{mumble/choke/sob}....and hurting themselves!!
Me: What, sweetie? Who is hurting themselves?
Her: The piggies!! The piggies are riding their bikes and they're falling off and giving themselves boo-boos!!!!
We talked through it, prayed for good dreams about rainbows, cupcakes & bunnies, and off I went. I have to say that I'm so very glad that her bad dreams involve animals riding tricycles. So glad her little brain hasn't had to endure some of the bad things that other kids probably dream about. Lest you think my laughter is synonomous with non-sympathy, I gotta say that I felt so sorry for her because she was so upset. And I never let on that I thought the mental picture of the falling, tricycle-riding pigs was absolutely hilarious. I'll tell her when she's1625 and has a boyfriend with her.And the little man. Oh, boy. He was going to bed the other night. I was turned kissing the bambina goodnight. And I heard a thud. I turned around and saw that he had managed to launch himself over his crib rail and land forehead first on his dresser. His waist was bend over his crib, his hands were holding on beside his waist and his head was planted on the dresser. He couldn't get leverage to move. He was just hanging out there. Oh, I could have died laughing. I didn't hide my laughter that time. I couldn't help it. I could hardly move, I was laughing so hard. (He's fine. Not even a bruise!)
Motherhood: so much laughter......among other emotions.
happy monday!

Funny funny! As much as I'm enjoying this stage of J's life, there's a part of me that can't wait until he's a bit older and can have such conversations with me. Of course that will also mean we get to have *other* kinds of conversations too.
Oh my. You are so right though...they could dream of much worse. Leah's never been able to tell me what her bad dreams were about (other than spiders) and I'm not sure I want to hear about those either.
Guess the remembering what the dreams were about comes with age?
That's so cute!!! Piggies falling off bikes... I wonder if they were cartoon piggies or real-from-the-farm piggies.... maybe she'll grow up to right children's stories
Cracking up at the image you described of the little man stuck beween dresser and crib... SUCH A BOY!
LOL to falling piggies and little boys practicing to be superheroes!
And I clean bathrooms on Sundays, too, sometimes. I think Jesus understands!
Lots of people LOVE your shirts!! I'll be sure to repeat your contact info tomorrow when I announce the winner. Praying you get LOTS of orders!!
So funny about the piggies! :) I love hearing about your kiddos.
