on the random
yo. good morning. :)
brain=tired.
There's a lot going on around here! and i feel like my house is going to swallow me up. I'm not complaining, but man-oh-man, it's not easy keeping up with 4 other people plus myself and all the stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuff we have! today i'm killing it before it kills me. heavy duty cleaning today! yesterday we had fun (went to amber's & the kids played outside while we chatted outside! very fun! thanks amber :))--today the kids can have fun--but Mama's cleaning. blech. but necessary.
Vacation Bible school starts next week. I've been in charge of classes before and I've been the helper in crafts before. But this year, I'm in charge of crafts! I LOVE IT. LOOOOOVE. So, at some point this week I also have to make samples of all the crafts. (Holly, the 3D snowflake you showed me on facebook is to DIE FOR! It's gorgeous & everyone that has seen it really likes it!)
I also have a little something up my sleeve that I need to get working on for my dear, dear cousin michelle who is leaving for AFRICA in 13 days. She's going to put her nursing skills into practice and be a medical missionary. Like, in a hut. !!! For a year! Her first nursing job in a very non-typical environment. I'm super proud of her. No doubt it won't be a walk in the park, and it'll be tough to be away from home (especially holidays. sniff. tear. sniff.), but what an amazing life-change opportunity. Michelle, I'll try my hardest to get your little gift to you asap. smooches. Leave her a little love here if you want. She could probably use a little cheering!! I mean, I know she's excited...but she's leaving for a long time!

We've gotten into a really bad habit of going to bed waaaaaaay too late. As in close to midnight. Gotta work on that.
Okay, then. That's all.
Happy WEDNESDAY!

AH! I know your three little bundles of energy and fun are way more work than my job sitting in a desk working a computer all day, but I'm still jealous that you can decide to dedicate an entire week day to heavy duty cleaning!! I hope you have a super productive day and feel accomplished tonight! And I know what you mean about going to bed late!!! I feel your pain on that one for sure....
So cute about the VBS crafts! Good luck! It sounds like it could be kind of a huge undertaking!
@ladymiss3739 - HAHA. Don't worry... you were funny ... I am cracking up over here.... HAZMAT. HA.
Ok Jess... I recind my envy of your day, and I hope you are able to beat the mess before it stands up and eats you!
@FlyingCAB - @ladymiss3739 - you guys are funny. :)
i should have seaid heavy duty straightening/reorganizing! that's what i really did. i didn't even bust out any cleaners except the pledge. there were books and toys and bags and clothes and folded laundry and mail and magazines and blankets scattered all over the entire living area of our house. so, i spent the morning doing that, and feeding the kids. .oh! and i hung a clock! and cleaned off the top of the fridge. it was furry. now it's shiny. :)
and now i'm hungry. missy, i hope i didn't miss you while i was showering (after i was done cleaning), and christy--hope your lunch w/ friends was gooooooooood!
Hey! I think it is your birthday today! Relax and enjoy it my friend! :)
Fun times at VBS. What is your theme? Ours starts next week and Adam is leading music and I am a small group leader for 4th-6th grade girls.
Isn't it amazing how much time it takes to get things cleaned up and straightened and how little time it takes to mess it up again? Some days I wonder if it is worth it but I happen to be one of those people who does not thrive in mess and chaos...how interesting that my calling is caring for children! ;)
